Jacob van der Heyden holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honors and a Bachelor of Arts from La Trobe University. He is currently completing his Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne. 

As a member of the Carbone Lawyers Team, Jacob applies his legal skills to all personal injury matters—TAC, WorkCover, TPD, Medical Negligence, Institutional Abuse, Nervous Shock, Public Liability, and Product liability. He also has experience in Commercial Law.

Jacob is a dedicated, determined and compassionate lawyer who welcomes the opportunity to help a diverse range of people. He has achieved some outstanding results for his clients, including a WorkCover judgment for a young abattoir worker, a settlement against a major hospital for the mismanagement of his client’s injuries, and a public liability claim for a man who slipped and fell at a petrol station.

Originally from regional Victoria, Jacob enjoys hikes in the high country, staying fit and movie nights with his friends.
